Mandorvin

Mandorvin
In ancient times, in the Homeric poems, valiant heroes and enchanting nymphs offered the Olympian gods goblets filled with Ambrosia and almond-scented wine. The preparation of this wine was a secret recipe jealously guarded by the Greeks, who used to aromatise wines in order to preserve them during long sea voyages. Here lies the secret behind the birth of almond wine. Mandorvin, a unique almond wine, highly appreciated for its sweet and intense flavour, with notes of almond and delicate liqueur-like nuances, evokes the atmospheres of the Homeric epics. Sweet on the first sip, yet with a pleasantly bitter finish typical of almonds, fragrant like the skin of the nymphs… the allure of Magna Graecia, of Sicily steeped in Hellenic myth.

This sweet white wine, flavoured with Sicilian almonds, is a tribute to the rich volcanic soils of Mount Etna. With its straw-yellow colour and an intensely almond-scented bouquet, it offers a smooth and sweet palate, making it ideal as an aperitif or paired with desserts. Produced from Catarratto grapes, it is aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness of its fruity aromas. Best served chilled between 8 °C and 10 °C. 75 cl bottle.
